Just picked up one of the 4" models at Home D. a little cheaper there, but my first impressions are good. The unit fits standard HALO 4" recessed can with no issue. Bright as a mother. It's on a ckt with 12 other cans; those all have PAR20 halogens which have been dying with greater frequency (all those crap quality bulbs from Mex. and China). The entire ckt is controlled with a 1000W Lutron dimmer (though the CREE's tech support certifies them for use with "Crestron") and the whole circuit dims just fine all the way down to minimum levels. There are no buzzes or humming, only silence when dimming.
I called CREE to ask about availability of other colors; nothing in the pipeline yet, but who knows.
The net for first day use, very impressive. Manufacturer says "20+ years" of life based on some moderate usage stats (3hrs a day). Yet the warranty us for 3 yrs..We'll see. Anything is better than replacing with incandescant or halogen bulbs at the rate rate they were burning out. I will report back after a few months of regular use. The reviews on HD's site are quite positive also.

It did everything it was supposed to. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because five stars is for when something does something out of this world and/or unexpected.

These are twice as bright as brand new 50w halogen MR16's I replaced them with. No joke.
(These Ecosmarts are the same ones sold at home depot.)
My recessed lights use GU10 connectors so I had to get GU10 to medium base adapters which have worked just fine.
The flood angle of these lights is very wide which can be good or bad depending on your needs.
I have a couple of these on a dimmer switch and they dim just fine and without flicker. I also have a couple on a timer switch with no problems.
The question with all LED's is longevity as they don't tolerate heat well. My first batch of seven I have used for about 3 months and show no signs of dimming or failure. I am using them in an airtight, IC-rated housing which is prone to heat buildup. I will update if anything changes.
Overall, these lights are totally worth getting if you want a lot of lumens, wide flood, and low wattage.
